Nike release new Tiger Woods’ commercial
New York, Apr 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nike is perhaps the only major sponsor to stand by the problems-ridden golfer Tiger Woods. And on Wednesday, Nike released a new commercial starring Tiger Woods on the ESPN and The Golf Channel. The timing of the release of the commercial coincides with the Masters tournament, which is underway in Augusta.
The black and white Nike commercial is just for 33 seconds, and it shows Tiger Woods dressed in a hat and vest, on which the Nike logo is prominently displayed. The other USP of this commercial is that, a voice recording of his late father Earl Woods is also an integral part of it. “Tiger, I am more prone to be inquisitive, to promote discussion. I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are. Did you learn anything?” asks Earl Woods.
Besides the commercial, Nike also released a statement in which it reinforced its stand that it is going to stand by the golfer and his family. The statement says that, the latest Nike commercial in which Earl Woods voice recording is also played actually “addresses his time away from the game using the powerful words of his father.”
